Do you have a child entering grades 3 through 7? How about a healthy dose of nature this summer? Check out the Natural History Day Camps at Banshee Reeks Nature Preserve! Campers are immersed in the natural wonders of the Preserve, exploring its woods, waters and field habitats in playful discovery of the plants and animals that live there. Banshee Reeks Nature Preserve is a truly wondrous place, located on Woods Road, 5 miles south of Leesburg, VA, between Evergreen Mills Rd and Rt. 15. The purpose of the camp is to give children the opportunity to explore, enjoy and feel comfortable with all that nature has to offer. Activities include:
- Hiking to explore the woods, streams, fields, and pond environments
- Observing creatures in their natural habitats and documenting these observations
- Enjoying games which enhance understanding of the natural world
