Tree Planting at Long Branch Farm

Join PEC for a volunteer tree planting at Long Branch Farm in Clarke County on Monday, October 31. Volunteers will be needed for two shifts, one from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. and the other from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m., to help plant 270 native trees and shrubs along Long Branch to enhance water quality and wildlife habitat as part of our Potomac Planting Program!

Farmscaping Workshop

Do you have trouble with pest control in your crops? Come to Fauquier Education Farm's workshop on farmscaping, where you can find out different land management techniques to create an ecosystem of beneficial organisms. Celia Vuocolo, Private Lands Biologist, and Jim Hankins, Executive Director, will discuss ways to promote insect biodiversity on the farm.

Virginia Bluebird Society’s Biennial Conference

Join Virginia Bluebird Society on November 11 and 12 to celebrate its 25th anniversary with a social hour, dinner and remarks by keynote speaker Julie Zickefoose. Sperryville Trail Network Invasives Removal and Trash Pick-Up Work Day

The Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection and the Sperryville Community Alliance are co-sponsoring a morning of invasives removal and cleanup along the Sperryville Trail Network on Saturday, November 12. We'll focus on a few portions of the trail in the vicinity of the Village along the Thornton River.
