Scenic Virginia presents “Treasured Views: Rappahannock County”

Scenic Virginia will be hosting one virtual and one in-person public meeting on Jan. 9 and Jan. 10 respectively, to solicit community feedback on treasured scenic views in Rappahannock County.

In the words of Scenic Virginia: “There are certain vistas that continue to inspire us – generation after generation. The mission of this project is to catalog those views that we perceive as “treasured” and bring awareness to them before development decreases their value to citizens, emotionally and economically.”

Views listed as “Treasured,” will create no landowner limitations. Rather, this will simply bring voice to the community value placed on the views we share. Through recognition, education, and engagement, Scenic Virginia hopes to bring this important voice to development decisions throughout Virginia.

There will be two opportunities to share your thoughts on “Treasured Views” in Rappahannock:
