Local Innovations To Conserve Native Biodiversity Through Sustainable Land Use

Fauquier and adjoining communities are engaged in a remarkable nature restoration effort. We are working together to bring back wild bird populations and native habitats through smart agricultural and gardening practices using innovative science and conservation practices.

Join the Warrenton Garden Club for an afternoon of inspiration and introductions to the local experts working on biodiversity conservation. Whether you are a working farmer, a committed gardener, diehard birder or nature enthusiast, there are so many opportunities in our community to advance your interests.

Keynote: Amy E. M. Johnson, Ph.D – Program Director for Virginia Working Landscapes

Amy will share the exciting new efforts of the Smithsonian collaborative in habitat restoration through partnerships with local experts.
