Culpeper Land Use Update – March 25, 2020

First, I hope that all is going well for you and yours during the COVID-19 outbreak. Please practice social distancing, and take care of your health — going outdoors to enjoy a fresh spring breeze has been a great outlet for me.

The Piedmont Environmental Council continues to work from home during the ever-changing COVID-19 pandemic. We continue to follow local and state government decisions and meetings, are planning for upcoming events, and are researching comprehensive plans and zoning ordinances.

I wanted to share with you that Culpeper County has decided to cancel nonessential meetings through April 7, with some publicly available streaming for essential meetings. To continue following essential meetings, refer to the Culpeper County Board docs website and the Board of Supervisors’ potential meeting schedule, which was approved during the March 24 virtual meeting.

***Note that the annual budget public hearing is scheduled for April 21, and written public comment will be accepted both three days before and after the meeting (April 18 – 24).

If you have any questions during this period, as always, feel free to reach out to me via email or phone call.

Best,

Chris
