Nature for Everyone Earth Day Celebration in Greene County
April 22, 2023 @ 11:00 am – 3:00 pm
Join local environmental organizations to celebrate Earth Day. The event will provide an opportunity for the community to come out and take part in nature-themed activities, engage in citizen science, gain valuable conservation knowledge, and meet some interesting animals. The goal is to provide information for multiple interests… something for everyone; plants, bees, trees, soil, air, amphibians, reptiles and so many more. There will also be plant terrarium crafting and a door prize drawing.
Jack’s Shop Kitchen will have ice cream for sale!
Participating organizations include Virginia Master Naturalists (Old Rag Chapter), Virginia Native Plant Society (Jefferson Chapter), Herping Virginia, Central Virginia Bee Keepers Association, Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation District, Blue Ridge PRISM and The Piedmont Environmental Council.
This free event is being hosted by the Greene County Economic Development and Tourism Department.
