Rex Linville is a land conservation professional with over 16 years of experience helping landowners protect property with voluntary conservation easements. He has been working in Albemarle and Greene Counties for The Piedmont Environmental Council since 2004 and prior to that worked with landowners in Maryland while at the Eastern Shore Land Conservancy. His interest in environmental protection and land conservation stems from an early love of the outdoors and spending most of his 20’s hiking, biking, climbing, and kayaking through the mountains of West Virginia and Colorado after escaping from a short lived job with an institutional brokerage firm in New York City.

Rex holds a B.S. in Finance from Virginia Tech and an M.S. in Forest Sciences from Colorado State University. This diverse background gives him the unique ability to help landowners understand and evaluate their land conservation decision from both a financial and natural resource conservation perspective.
