Kevin Kask joined PEC in October 2021 and covers land use and transportation issues in Fauquier County.

Kevin grew up in Fairfax County and studied Urban and Regional Planning at Virginia Commonwealth University. After graduating with a Bachelors, he went on to work for a land development firm in Prince George’s County, MD. After spending over three years at the firm as a land use planner, he moved to Charlottesville to pursue a Masters in Urban and Environmental Planning with an environmental concentration. Throughout his time in graduate school he worked as a research assistant with the Biophilic Cities Network, the Institute for Engagement and Negotiation, the Green Infrastructure Center, and with two land trusts. After finishing graduate school and moving back to Northern Virginia, he conducted a parks and recreation GIS walkshed analysis for the City of Alexandria, before joining the PEC team. He hopes to use the skills he developed in the private sector to advance PEC’s mission to protect communities and natural resources.
