Your generosity ensures that The Piedmont Environmental Council will continue to protect and restore the lands and waters of the Virginia Piedmont, while building stronger, more sustainable communities.

Members who have made planned gifts to The Piedmont Environmental Council (PEC) or to the Piedmont Foundation, a charitable organization established to hold and manage special funds in support of PEC’s mission, may also become a part of the Bill Backer Legacy Society. Planned gift options include making a bequest through a will, codicil, or trust, or recognizing the Piedmont Foundation or PEC as a beneficiary of an IRA or retirement plan. Gifts of property and other assets are also possible.

By donating $100 or more annually, you’ll have the opportunity to be listed in PEC’s annual report under one of these giving tiers:

Champions of the PIedmont	$10,000-$24,999
Stewards of the Piedmont	$5,000-$9,999
Patrons of the Piedmont	$1,000-$4,999
Supports of the Piedmont	$500-$999
Friends of the Piedmont	$100-$499
