6th Annual Active Mobility Summit

Are you interested in more safe spaces to walk, bike or run? Do you crave better access to the great outdoors? Are you looking for other people ready to jumpstart a year of positive local action? The annual Charlottesville / Albemarle Active Mobility Summit is for you!

The annual Charlottesville / Albemarle Active Mobility Summit invites cyclists, walkers, runners, and people interested in promoting active lifestyles for a Thursday evening of presentations, followed by Friday morning work sessions and Friday afternoon field trips. 

This year’s summit will focus on the economic and social benefits communities enjoy when they are great for walking and biking residents and visitors have easy access to fresh air. Thursday will have public presentations; Friday morning will focus on structural solutions.

You don’t need to attend both sessions to benefit but it is encouraged. Both sessions will include snacks and drinks and both sessions will include plenty of fellowship and ways to get involved. The Mobility Summit is free but registration is required.

Where: The Wool Factory (1837 Broadway Street, Charlottesville)
When: Thursday, March 5 (5:30-9 p.m.) + Friday, March 6 (9-12 p.m.) Friday afternoon will include field trips.
