Town Hall on Energy Infrastructure and Data Centers

November 30, 2023 @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

Join local conservation organizations for a community town hall about the potential for new transmission line projects proposed in Loudoun County and surrounding areas tied to the explosive growth of data centers in the region.

This meeting will take place on Thursday, Nov. 30 from 7–8:30 p.m. at the Old Stone School in Hillsboro. This event is co-hosted by The Piedmont Environmental Council (PEC), the Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy and the Waterford Foundation.

Register

On October 31, PJM, the organization that coordinates electricity transmission in 13 states and the District of Columbia, published a set of transmission line projects under consideration due to data center demand growth. There are several proposals on PJM’s shortlist located in Loudoun, and many alternative routes through the county are likely to be considered in the future.

The event will start with a few presentations by the host organizations and include plenty of time for attendees to ask questions and learn about actions they can take.

Space is limited. Please register to guarantee your spot →
