“Virginia as a Hotspot for Data Centers”: Sierra Club/PEC Presentation

March 17, 2025 @ 6:30 am – 8:00 pm

Explosive growth of data centers in Virginia requires massive amounts of energy and energy infrastructure. The burden of air, water, grid, cost of infrastructure and quality of life impacts are falling on local community to meet this demand. PEC has advocated for enhanced transparency, state oversight, ratepayer protection and incentivizing sustainability going forward.

Join us March 17 for a presentation on Data Centers with speakers –
• Ann Bennet, Data Center Committee Chair, Virginia Chapter, Sierra Club
• Robert McGuiness, PLA, FASLA, Senior Land Use Representative, Piedmont Environmental Council
• Kirk Bowers, PE, Conservation Chair, Piedmont Group, Sierra Club
