Amplifying Indigenous Women’s Perspectives for Healthy Soil and Water

April 13, 2024 @ 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

Join Agricair and Oatlands in collaboration with Virginia Tech Center For Food Systems & Community Transportation, for a day of learning and co-creation at Oatlands House in Loudoun County. Speakers will include Dr. Lyla June Johnston an artist, scholar and community organizer with Diné (Navajo), Tsétsêhéstâhese (Cheyenne) and European lineages, René Locklear White, an Indigenous chef and community organizer of the Lumbee Tribe, and Victoria Persinger Ferguson, a history Keeper and enrolled Citizen of the Monacan Indian Nation. This event is supported by PEC and other partners.
