Previously, Elizabeth led Persuasive PR, a small business providing communications and public relations support. She has also led communications and advocacy initiatives for groups like Save the Children and Helen Keller International. She began her career in radio with Voice of America and loves engaging print, radio and TV journalists in storytelling efforts. Elizabeth earned a bachelor’s degree from the College of William & Mary and a master’s from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
Elizabeth was certified as a Virginia Master Naturalist in Loudoun County and served on the Leesburg Town Commission on Public Art. She now serves as a member of the Advisory Council at George Mason University School of Art and as a mentor in the Readers Rise program with Arlington County Public Schools. In her free time, Elizabeth loves hiking, photographing birds, listening to live music, traveling, and cooking elaborate meals for family and friends.
