Amy joined PEC as In-House Counsel in 2026. Her career has focused on environmental law and land conservation as well as climate resilience and hazard mitigation. For over 25 years, Amy was an attorney with the Office of Chief Counsel at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). She was FEMA’s only environmental attorney for many years and then managed a team of attorneys supporting FEMA’s environmental and historic preservation office, hazard mitigation grant programs, floodplain management program and climate resilience integration office.
Prior to her career with FEMA, Amy worked with the Humane Society of the U.S. as Director of its National Wildlife Refuge reform coalition and was a legal advisor to its Wildlife Land Trust. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University and a law degree from Fordham Law School and has both a strong appreciation for nature and desire to help protect it. She is excited to be involved at the local level to continue working to protect natural resources.
In her free time, Amy enjoys running, reading, cooking and traveling with her husband and children.
