Scenic Virginia Value of a Viewshed Roundtable
May 13 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
As pressures on our most treasured landscapes continue to grow, how do we protect the places we value most? This panel will explore practical strategies for identifying scenic assets, clearly illustrating potential impacts, and effectively mitigating change. As development challenges reach every community, establishing thoughtful, proactive protocols is essential to preserving the character and beauty that define where we live.
This inaugural conversation is designed to build a shared understanding of how we identify, recognize, and protect Virginia’s most treasured views. Just as importantly, it’s an opportunity to act, ensuring that significant scenic resources are recognized early, before potential threats to their preservation arise.
Our goal is simple: that each guest leaves with a specific viewshed in mind for nomination to Scenic Virginia’s Treasured Views Program
