Jared joined PEC’s staff in November 2025 as Senior Data Center Reform Campaign Coordinator, bringing experience in grassroots environmental campaigns and project management.
Over his career, he has managed the Environmental Law Institute’s Climate Judiciary Project and park equity initiatives for the National Recreation and Park Association, and organized campaigns on issues related to equitable access to greenspaces, the Clean Water Act, industrial agriculture and public lands. Jared served three seasons as a National Park Ranger at sites ranging from historic sites and battlefields to Grand Teton National Park. He has also led grant programs, resource development and professional networks to enhance equitable access to greenspaces through a community-driven, systems-level approach.
Jared has a Masters of Public Administration and Environmental Science and Public Policy from George Mason University’s Schar School of Policy and Government, and a B.S. in Environmental Law and Policy from Unity College in Maine.
Outside of PEC, Jared enjoys kayaking on the Potomac and hiking the Appalachian or Potomac Heritage trails near his home in Loudoun County with his husband and their dog, Apollo. Jared also volunteers his time locally leading community environmental and justice initiatives and playing percussion in the Loudoun Symphonic Winds.
