SUMMARY:PEC's Annual Virtual Auction & Paddle Raise
DESCRIPTION:The Piedmont Environmental Council’s virtual auction & paddle raise has become a well-known and well-loved part of our annual farm-to-table fundraising dinner. Our virtual auction items are all generously donated by our friends and supporters. Bidding starts on Friday\, Sept. 8\, and ends on Monday\, Sept. 18 at 9 a.m. \n\n\n\n\nView auction items →\n\n\n\n\nVisit pecva.org/auction to get a preview of some of the auction items that will be available this year!\n\n\n\nThis year’s items will include destination vacations abroad and stateside\, unique excursions to historic and natural places in Virginia\, beautiful art\, and so much more. \n\n\n\nIn addition to supporting PEC through our auction\, you can also make a donation through our virtual paddle raise (more information coming soon). All of the contributions made during the paddle raise will support PEC’s work in its four focus areas\, as outlined in the new strategic plan for 2023 – 2028: Conserving and restoring the Piedmont’s lands and waters; Creating stronger\, more sustainable communities; Shaping and advancing Virginia’s clean energy future; and\, Setting an example through land ownership.

SUMMARY:Fall Native Plant Sale at Morven Park
DESCRIPTION:Native plants add beauty and interest to your garden year-round and provide important habitat for wildlife. Autumn is an optimal time for planting trees and shrubs and other perennials. A huge selection of native plants will be available from local native plant nurseries. The sale takes place at the visitor parking lot (access via main entrance on Old Waterford Road) and will be staffed by volunteers knowledgeable about native plants who can advise you on selecting natives for your garden. In addition to selling plants\, the sale provides an opportunity to learn about some of Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy’s programs and how you can volunteer for them. Our Wild Shop will be there with books\, t-shirts\, mugs\, and other merchandise for sale. \n\n\n\nIf you have boxes for carrying your plants\, please bring them.
