SUMMARY:Third Annual Piedmont Mobility Summit (Charlottesville / Albemarle)
DESCRIPTION:At this free workshop\, representatives from organizations\, local businesses\, agencies and passionate individuals who share a mission to promote walking\, biking\, running\, everyday access to nature and active lifestyles will gather to identify areas of collaboration and lay out work plans. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis is the third annual iteration of the Mobility Summit\, and will be facilitated by Dr. Selena Cozart. It is free and anyone can attend as long as they bring a willingness to work\, along with great ideas. Like previous years\, it will celebrate recent successes in the community and an opportunity to advance several collaborative projects that no individual or group can accomplish alone. \n\n\n\nTentative Schedule: \n\n\n\nRegistration: 9 – 10 a.m. \n\n\n\nCoffee and Fellowship\n\n\n\nMorning Session: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. \n\n\n\nWelcomeSuccess storiesFacilitated discussion on broadening participation in area outdoor organizations\n\n\n\nBreak for Lunch 12 – 1 p.m. \n\n\n\nLunch will be provided. \n\n\n\nAfternoon Session: 1 – 3 p.m. \n\n\n\nPresentation of Collective Impact ModelFormation of work groups + Small group work sessionsRecap\n\n\n\nThe summit is intended to be experienced in person. Organizations are encouraged to send more than one representative. There are likely to be multiple workgroups that align with organizations’ missions. The large-group presentations and discussions will be simulcast with a remote-participation option.
