Community Meeting on Transco and Virginia Gas Pipelines

March 04, 2020 06:30 pm - 08:30 pm
Location: PEC Headquarters / Wiley Conference Room, 45 Horner Street, Warrenton, Virginia

Join us for a community information session about two natural gas projects being proposed in Fauquier and Prince William County and how they connect. Guest speaker Jolene Mafnas from Food and Water Watch will be presenting the latest information on these projects and what residents can do to take action.

Transco is a 7.7 mile pipeline expansion that has made headlines locally after receiving federal approval despite community concerns about limited review and opportunity for public input. Virginia Natural Gas Pipeline is currently seeking approval for another 9.5 miles of new pipeline in Fauquier and Prince William. The proposed VNG line would connect up to the Transco line and includes a new compressor station in Nokesville.
