2022 Annual Meeting The Fauquier Historical Society

On March 3 at 6:00 p.m. the Fauquier Historical Society will be holding its annual meeting at the PATH Foundation Meeting Rooms. The meeting will feature a special talk on the history of the Peter Hitt Farm and Cemetery with Kristie Kendall, PEC’s Historic Preservation Coordinator, Board Member of the Germanna Foundation and a descendant of the Hitt family of Fauquier County.

Come hear about this 18th century farm and cemetery located near thee Rappahannock Rick in Fauquier County. It was re-discovered in the early 2000s and is now under the stewardship of the Germanna Foundation. A short business meeting will precede the talk and light refreshment served afterwars.
