Todd joined PEC in 2019 as an Information Systems Coordinator. He has a Master’s degree from American University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of New Haven. As a resident of Fauquier County, he has advocated for improvements to the water system in the unincorporated town of Marshall, contributed to Marshall’s comprehensive plan, and assisted in planning Marshall’s Main Street improvement project.

Prior to joining PEC, he ran an IT consulting firm and worked in technical positions for government contractors and private sector businesses. Originally from Chicago, his parents were always on the move, living in Illinois, Connecticut, Maryland, Washington, DC, and Virginia. He finally settled in Fauquier County and lives there with his wife, two children, Smiley the dog, and S’more the cat. In his spare time, he enjoys riding motorcycles, watching movies, reading, and playing guitar.

Cat Kutz joined the PEC staff in the summer of 2019. Cat has over 5 years of experience working in wildlife conservation, previously as the social media manager for Global Wildlife Conservation and as the media production manager for Rainforest Trust. Since then she has been running her own small business, helping nonprofits and institutions with their digital advocacy efforts and science communication needs.

A Fairfax native, Cat holds a degree in communications from George Mason University and is returning to her alma mater as a graduate student studying GIS for Conservation. Cat is excited to join the team at PEC and contribute to real action in her home state of Virginia. In her spare time, she enjoys cycling on our scenic roads and spending time outside with her son and dog.
