Tracy Lind joined PEC's staff in 2017. As a field representative, Tracy works with landowners, community groups, and partner organizations on land conservation, natural resource restoration, and other public initiatives that protect and promote the enjoyment of natural, historic, scenic, and agricultural resources in Clarke, Fauquier, and Loudoun counties. Tracy also serves as the coordinator for the Blue Ridge Conservation Alliance, a regional conservation partnership, consisting of organizations working from Front Royal to Harpers Ferry.

Prior to PEC, Tracy was the Acting Director for the Cacapon and Lost Rivers Land Trust in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. Before that, she was the Land Protection Director with Potomac Conservancy in the northern Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.

Tracy grew up on the Eastern Shore of Delaware and Maryland and worked with the Lower Shore Land Trust. And while she loves the brackish water and wetlands of the Shore, she also loves the mountains and rivers. That is why she worked as an NPS Backcountry Ranger intern at Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, Alaska, and moved to Virginia. She enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking, and visiting the working farms and historical sites throughout the mountains and valleys of Virginia and West Virginia (and beyond).

Tracy holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Maryland’s Salisbury University, which includes a focus on land use planning and a minor in Biology. She has a M.A. in Natural Resource Management and a Certificate in Global Sustainability from Virginia Tech. Tracy also completed the Virginia Master Naturalist Program for the northern Shenandoah Valley. She has a special interest in land management and access, agriculture, and wildlife habitat working together – and enjoys all the people and communities she gets to learn about and work with throughout her career.
