Laura O’Brien joined PEC’s staff in December 2021 as the Rappahannock County Field Representative. Prior to joining PEC, Laura graduated from Ithaca College in 2021 with a B.A. in Environmental Studies and minors in Writing and Journalism. 

Laura has worked with a variety of environmental nonprofits, including the Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s Land Trust Bird Conservation Initiative, Trout Unlimited, and the Ithaca Children’s Garden. Laura grew up in northern Massachusetts with a love for the outdoors and an appreciation for community-based conservation efforts.
