Associate Director of Development
(540) 347-2334 x. 7002 (office)
Karissa Epley joined PEC development staff in the beginning of 2017. She holds a B.S. in Biology from Old Dominion University, a M.S. in Nonprofit Management from Walden University, and a M.B.A. from College of William and Mary.
During her undergraduate studies, Karissa worked on several projects as an intern at NASA Langley Research Center, where she used geospatial imaging in ecological impact modeling. In addition to a passion for the sciences, Karissa found that she enjoyed working in nonprofit leadership while she was employed at an animal welfare organization in Norfolk, VA. PEC’s mission and vision aligned perfectly with these two passions, making the organization an ideal place for Karissa to work!
Since moving to Rappahannock County in 2015, Karissa has dedicated her spare time to serving her community as a volunteer for various causes. When she’s not working or volunteering, Karissa enjoys exploring the outdoors with her daughter, cultivating the next generation of conservationists!
