Find out more about the legislation being considered during 2015.
We are rapidly approaching opening day of the 2015 General Assembly Session scheduled from January 14th through the end of February. The prefiling deadline is next week and bills can be filed through the 23rd. While only a few of the early bills have caught our attention, there are a lot that have yet to be filed with some 3,000 bills likely to be introduced. We've been hard at work reviewing all relevant legislation filed thus far. As the session progresses, we'll help keep you informed on bills that impact particularly important issues, including land conservation, land use and transportation, agriculture, and energy.
To read more about legislation we are concerned with, see the information below. Even though session hasn't started yet, we encourage you to reach out to your Delegate and Senator and let them know what issues you care about.
If you're not sure who your Delegate and Senator are, use this Who's My Legislator? link.
