The Sixth Annual Statewide Land Conservation Conference will be held this year from Tuesday, May 29 to Thursday, May 31, 2012 in Charlottesville, Virginia. Land Trust staff, PDR managers, volunteers, board members, public agency staff, and land conservation advocates are invited from around the state to network with colleagues and learn about the latest advances in the practice of conservation.

The conference will be held at the centrally located Omni Hotel in Charlottesville, located on the historic Downtown Pedestrian Mall near the University of Virginia. Registrants can participate in educational sessions and are encouraged to explore the picturesque countryside, exquisite local boutiques and restaurants, and exciting activities in Downtown Charlottesville.

The Virginia Land Conservation Conference is organized by the Virginia's United Land Trusts (VaULT). VaULT is a coalition of approximately 50 organizations that are dedicated to the protection of local, regional and statewide natural and cultural resources which contribute to the ecological, social and economic well being of Virginia's communities. VaULT's members include private, non profit land trusts as well as state agencies which are active in the conservation of Virginia's resources.
