The trails in the area allow for a &ldquo;hike at your own pace&rdquo; experience, with different lengths and difficulty levels. Members of the Lamb family will be on hand to talk about history of the area and life in the mountains. \n\n	Enjoy bluegrass music and light refreshments up by the Rosser Lamb House, where you can tour the home after your hike. Bring your family and friends, but please leave the pups at home!\n\n	 \n\n	\n\n	Staff and volunteers will be stationed along the walk and at the cabin from 10 AM to 4 PM.  Please plan to arrive anytime between 10 AM and 3PM, and spending at least 1-2 hours in the area, depending on the pace that you hike. If you have additional time to explore and are up for a more difficult hike, see options below:\n\n	Hiking Options*\n\n	OPTION 1: Easy, 2 miles roundtrip. Begin the hike at the parking area on Pocosin Mountain Road and hike down the access road to the Rosser Lamb House for one mile. Pass by numerous homesites, buildings and artifacts.  Lamb Cemetery is a few hundred yards past the Rosser Lamb House.\n\n	OPTION 2: Moderate, 4.3 miles roundtrip.  Begin the hike at the parking area on Pocosin Mountain Road and hike down the access road to the Rosser Lamb House. When finished, continue up the Entry Run Trail past the cabin and follow it until its connection to the Pocosin Fire Road in Shenandoah National Park. Turn right (east) onto the Pocosin Fire Road and follow to its connection with Pocosin Mountain Road. Follow Pocosin Mountain Road back to your vehicle.\n\n	OPTION 3: Moderate/Difficult:5.5-9 miles roundtrip. Following directions in OPTION 2 above, rather than turning right onto the Pocosin Fire Road, Turn left to explore the ruins of the Upper Pocosin Episcopal Mission and the Samuels Family Cemetery. From there, you might also follow the Pocosin Trail to the southwest, which ends at the Meadows-Lam Cemetery and in another mile, the South River Falls. To return to your car, make your way back to the Pocosin Fire Road, follow to the park boundary where it becomes Pocosin Mountain Road outside the park, then follow back to the parking area.\n\n	* Maps will be available at the parking area and cabin, and staff will be on hand to provide directions and advise hikers of their options.\n\n	Parking and Directions\n\n	Be sure to bring a lunch and plenty of water!\n\n	Parking will be on Pocosin Mountain Road near Stanardsville, Virginia and is limited. Carpooling is encouraged.
