X-WR-CALDESC:\n	 \n\n	\n		Forum for Rural Innovation: \n	\n		Direct Marketing Beyond Farmers Markets\n	\n		 \n	\n		The eighth annual Forum for Rural Innovation will be held Friday, March 9, 2012, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Best Western Lee-Jackson Motor Inn & Conference Center in Winchester, Virginia. This Forum will focus on direct marketing beyond traditional farmers markets.\n	\n		 \n	\n		Speakers will discuss their success with providing innovative agri-education programs, share ideas on how to maximize your production by creating value added products, the benefits of using social media and technology to gain exposure to your business as well as an update from past Innovation Award winners about where they are now. The purpose of the Forum is to showcase new and exciting projects and programs that enhance farm or rural business profitability. New this year will be a snapshot of efforts in agricultural development from our region. \n	\n		 \n	\n		The Forum has been planned to feature a series of presentations, with an emphasis on expanding your rural business beyond farmers markets using innovative ideas and sound business approaches. Topics and exhibits have been chosen to present practical examples of successful innovative operations that could be adapted to any farm. The program will feature some of the most progressive and recognized farms and research in the United States.\n	\n		 \n	\n		The conference luncheon will feature local food products as well as the presentation of the 2012 Innovation Awards.  In addition, exhibits by agricultural suppliers, support agencies, and area businesses will be featured the entire day. \n	\n		 \n	\n		The registration fee of $40.00 per person includes the forum program, morning refreshments, and a buffet lunch. \n	\n		 \n	\n		To receive a copy of the registration brochure, please email Coco.Lyons [at] Loudoun.gov or call 703/ 777-0426\n	\n		 \n	\n		Visit www.LoudounFarms.org for more information!\n\n
