Peter Hujik joined the Piedmont Environmental Council in November 2012. Prior to joining PEC, Peter led the conservation efforts of Otsego Land Trust in the headwaters of the Susquehanna River in Central New York. Peter began his conservation career with The Nature Conservancy in northern California, where he managed grasslands and restored stream-side forests in the Lassen Foothills. Peter received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire and a M.S. degree in plant ecology from the University of Wisconsin--Madison.
