The Hour of Land: A Personal Topography of America’s National Parks

Saturday, December 2nd, 2017, 8:00 PM
Location: Reston Community Center, 2310 Colts Neck Road, Reston, Virginia

A talk by environmental activist and author Terry Tempest Williams.

She has been called "a citizen writer," a writer who speaks out eloquently on behalf of an ethical stance toward all life forms. A naturalist and fierce advocate for freedom of speech, she has consistently shown us how environmental issues are social issues that ultimately become matters of justice. "So here is my question," she asks, "what might a different kind of power look like, feel like, and can power be redistributed equitably even beyond our own species?"

Ticket Price: $15

Non-Reston Tickets: $20
