Location: Sweetwater Lane 27, Washington, Virginia

Join experts Mike DiLello, Conservation Manager at the Farm at Sunnyside, and Celia Vuocolo, PEC Wildlife Habitat & Stewardship Specialist, for a tour of the farm's native meadow and riparian restoration projects, and invasive plant management strategies.

The guided 2 mile hike will showcase restored riparian areas, oak savannas and native warm-season grass meadows on the 400-acre Piedmont farm. Enjoy wildlife habitat identification and learn about best management practices that you can apply to your own habitat restoration project.

Attendees should wear hiking shoes, bring water, a snack, and dress for seasonal weather. Event is rain or shine, and participants should be prepared to walk 2 miles over uneven terrain.

*The event is free, but registration is required. Space is limited.
