Water Quality Monitoring Training
Are you interested in becoming more involved with local water quality efforts? John Marshall Soil & Water Conservation District (JMSWCD), in partnership with PEC and Friends of the Rappahannock, will be holding a Water Quality Monitoring Training on Saturday, April 29.
You will be trained on how to identify and assess macro invertebrates, measure physical and chemical properties of a stream, and properly sample for bacteria. After completion of this program, you will have the knowledge to conduct water quality monitoring with the District and will be able to assist in collecting important water quality data throughout Fauquier County.
The classroom session will be held at the Orlean Volunteer Fire Department at 6838 Leeds Manor Rd in Orlean. It will be followed by a field training session at a nearby private property in Orlean.
The event is free, but space is limited so registration is required. Register through Eventbrite >>
