7th Annual Summer Safari
Join us for an evening of celebration to benefit the collaborative work of The Piedmont Environmental Council, Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute, and Shenandoah National Park Trust. Enjoy wildlife tours, followed by cocktails and dinner on Racetrack Hill overlooking the beautiful landscape and Shenandoah National Park. There will be an award presentation honoring John and Mary Scott Birdsall for their life-long commitment to environmental stewardship and conservation.
Benefit tickets: $250 per person.
Schedule of Events
4:00 pm: A rare opportunity to view endangered wildlife from around the world. Your safari will include glimpses of Hartmann’s mountain zebra, maned wolves, and white naped cranes. You will also meet talented people from all three organizations who are pioneering important conservation projects here in Virginia, while working to train the next generation of conservationists.
6:00 pm: Cocktails followed by dinner on Race Track Hill overlooking Shenandoah National Park’s beautiful vistas and surrounding landscapes. Award presentation honoring John and Mary Scott Birdsall. $250 per person – Proceeds will benefit the host organizations’ conservation work in Virginia.
