Beginning Farmer 2017
Are you thinking of starting a production farm or of diversifying an existing farm? If you answered yes then join us this spring to work with local educators, producers, and industry leaders to explore those ques- tions and evaluate your farming future.
The Northern Piedmont Beginning Farmer Program (NPBFP) is a multi-class initiative to help aspiring and diversifying farmers make informed decisions about a new operation. NPBFP uses curriculum compiled by VA Tech and Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE). The program’s focus is on:
- Introduction to Whole Farm Planning
- Introduction to Farm Business Management
NPBFP is a partner of the Virginia Beginning Farmer & Rancher Coalition (VBFRCP). For more information on the VBFRCP, please visit www.vabeginningfarmer.org. Class Time: 7-9 p.m.
Cost of series is $100 individual, $150 for couples
