(Orange, VA - July 28, 2008) The Piedmont Environmental Council is pleased to announce that Abby Harper has joined PEC as the land conservation officer for both Culpeper and Orange Counties.

Ms. Harper holds a B.A. in English from the College of William and Mary and has been a licensed realtor for the last 3 years, specializing in farm and land sales. Prior to selling real estate, Abby had a 10-year career in marketing and advertising and worked with a variety of clients, including corporate and non-profit. In addition to serving on the Orange County Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors, she is a member of the Orange Rotary, New Millennium Sports Committee in Orange, the Virginia State Beekeepers Association and Bull Run Hunt.

Abby's personal interests include horses and everything related to running a small farm. She moved to Rapidan three years ago with her husband (and menagerie of animals), after purchasing a farm she knew and loved as a child.
