The Piedmont is known for its scenic beauty. This map gives a sampling of the scenic resources located in our region- from the "High Mountain" that overlooks Monticello, to the Banshee Reeks Nature Preserve in Loudoun.
The following map shows some of the views from the "high mountain" that overlooks Thomas Jefferson's "little mountain", Monticello. PEC partnered with the Thomas Jefferson Foundation to permanently protect Montalto from development.
