PATH Attempts to Withdraw Application
On December 29, 2009, PATH Allegheny filed a new Motion to Withdraw from the Virginia State Corporation Commission proceeding. In this new filing, PATH states that new PJM tests (ordered by the Virginia SCC) indicate "that the PATH Project would not be needed to resolve NERC reliability violations in 2014, as identified in the pending application." PATH also says that they no longer plan to reapply in Virginia in "early 2010".
It is not entirely clear what this means for the proceedings in West Virginia and Maryland.
