The Virginia Department of Historic Resources recently held a joint quarterly meeting of the Board of Historic Resources and State Review Board to on Thursday, March 19, 2009. At this meeting, the Board considered new nominations to the Virginia Landmarks Register, and approved the following nominations in Fauquier County:

• Bristersburg Historic District
• Broad Run/Little Georgetown Rural Historic District
• Sumderduck Historic District
