Exploring the Small Farm Dream
Successful Series Continued
The Piedmont Environmental Council and the Local Food Project at Airlie are pleased to present its "Exploring the Small Farm Dream" series. This project is a continuation of a successful program that was held last year. If you've ever considered launching a small farm enterprise, but are unsure of where to start, this course is for you! Designed to help guide you through an initial exploratory decision-making process, "Exploring the Small Farm Dream" bridges the gap between ideas and action. The sessions will be held on Nov. 4th, 11th, 18th and December 2nd from 6:30-9pm at the Airlie Institute in Warrenton, VA.
What to Expect:
Creative exercises, research and class discussion that will help you assess your skills and resources
Interviews with local farm business owners that will assist you in deciding how to carry your dream forward
The opportunity to connect with others interested in starting a new agricultural enterprise in the region.
Schedule:
Participants MUST be able to attend ALL four sessions.
November 4th: Expressing Farm Dreams and Evaluating Goals
November 11th: Researching the Landscape and Interviewing Current Farm Innovators
November 18th: Assessing Resources and Risk
