PEC Annual Meeting a Success
PEC's Annual Meeting held on Saturday, September 19, in Madison County, Virginia was a success with more than 200 participants at the meeting. In addition to workshops on issues ranging from Transportation to Protecting Local Streams, the attendees heard from the Chief Executive Officer of the Rodale Institute, Dr. Timothy LaSalle. PEC President Christopher G. Miller gave his State of the Piedmont Address highlighting the work of the PEC over the past year.
Conservation awards were presented to Trish Crowe, Nick Kotz and Kathleen Kilpatrick. A special award was presented to Jack Snyder of Orange County for his efforts to have more than 700 acres of Montpelier placed in conservation easement.
