PEC's 6th Annual Bluebell Walk on Cedar Run
Join the Piedmont Environmental Council and the Julian W. Scheer Cedar Run Land Conservation Fund for the 6th Annual Bluebell Walk on Cedar Run on Saturday, April 11 from 10AM to Noon. Take a casual walk through the picturesque farm fields on your way to the bluebell covered banks of Cedar Run. The walk takes place on the Bonny Brook Farm, 8446 Old Dumfries Road, Catlett, VA
Naturalists will be on hand to identify native vegetation. Light refreshments will be served. Please remember to bring your boots or waders--a special treat awaits those brave enough to wade across Cedar Run! For more information, please contact Maggi MacQuilliam at 540-347-2334, ext 29.
The Julian W. Scheer Cedar Run Land Conservation Fund, created in 2002, has been successful in helping to protect the more than 9,720 acres of privately conserved land in the Cedar Run watershed and educating hundreds of landowners about conservation options to protect water quality, agricultural traditions, and cultural resources in the Cedar Run watershed.
