From Washington to Warrenton -- PEC is Bringing the Capitol Steps to You!

The Piedmont Environmental Council (PEC) is pleased to announce that the Capitol Steps will be performing at the Highland Center for the Arts. Proceeds from the performance will benefit two of PEC's most pressing campaigns: The Transmission Line Supreme Court Appeal and the Buy Fresh Buy Local Guide.

Who are the Capitol Steps? The Capitol Steps began as a group of Senate staffers who set out to satirize the very people and places that employed them. Since they began, the Capitol Steps have recorded 28 albums, including their latest, Campaign and Suffering. They've been featured on NBC, CBS, ABC, and PBS, and can be heard four times a year on National Public Radio stations nationwide during their Politics Takes a Holiday radio specials. No matter who's in the headlines, the Capitol Steps are equal opportunity offenders promising an evening full of bipartisan lampooning. More information and a sampling of songs are available at www.capsteps.com.

The performance will take place on Sunday, March 22 at 3 PM. A Reception will follow the performance. The event will take place at the beautiful Highland Center for the Arts located in Warrenton, Virginia. Tickets are $50 per person.

For more information, please contact Karen Lamond at 540-341-0175 extension 4 or via email klamond[at]pecva.org. Please RSVP by March 18 as tickets are expected to go fast.
