  • Do you want to make a difference in your local community?
  • Are you interested in land conservation and land use issues?
  • Are you currently enrolled in college or graduate school? A recent graduate?
  • Would you like to gain real-world experience working with an effective non-profit?

If so, the Piedmont Environmental Council invites you to apply to our 2012 Fellowship Program. The Fellowship Program is a seven week program offering students a fully immersive, hands-on experience in PEC's nationally recognized, highly successful regional movement for landconservation and land use planning.

PEC's Fellowship Program welcomes applicants from a variety of academic fields. Previous applicants have represented a variety of courses of study, including environmental science, government, economics, human & environmental relations, historic preservation, religion, anthropology, and geography.

You should apply to the Fellowship Program if you: want to make a difference in your community, are interested in land conservation & land use issues; are currently a junior or senior in college, are enrolled in graduate school, or have recently graduated from college or graduate school; and would like to gain real world experience working with a non-profit organization.

How to Apply:

Download and complete the Application for the 2012 PEC Fellowship Program. The completed application and accompanying essay must be turned in by March 9, 2012. Please email your application to fellowship@pecva.org or mail a hard copy to the address included on the application.
