Help Update Madison's Comprehensive Plan


The Comprehensive Plan is a community vision for Madison County. The plan spans 20 years, and must be revised every 5. The present plan is very general, with good goals but very few specifics.

Help decide where new development should take place, what tools should be specified to keep the county rural, and what ordinances should be drafted to make that vision a reality. For information, call Betty Grayson, Zoning Administrator to confirm monthly meeting times and places-(540) 948-7599:

Ag & Forestry, Nat Resources, Historic Preservation -- 2nd Tuesday, 7 p.m. in BOS room on Thrift Road

Recreation, Economic Development, Retail & Business -- 4th Wednesday, time and place to be announced.

Affordable Housing, Residential land Use, U.S. 29 Corridor, Transportation -- 2nd Wednesday, board room of Montague- Miller Realtors on U.S. 29 north of the town of Madison

Communication & Energy, Utilities, Public Facilities & Services, Public utilities -- 2nd Wednesday, BOS room on Thrift Road
