Congressman Cantor Receives Conservation Award

Congressman and House Minority Whip, Eric Cantor, received an award for his support of federal legislation to provide incentives for land conservation. The award was presented by Mr. Tony Vanderwarker, Chairman of the Board of the Piedmont Environmental Counci, at the Christmas Tree Farm owned by Mr. and Mrs. Tom O’Halloran of Culpeper County.

The O’Halloran’s recently placed their farm in conservation easement protecting it forever from development. The O’Halloran’s credited the legislation supported by Congressman Cantor as one of the factors they considered when they placed their property in easement.
