The Madison Conservation Fund has a board consisting of President John Sponski, treasurer Lindy Sanford, Peter Rice, Bill Tidball, Ron Crigler, David Crowe and PEC staff Beth Pastore. The Fund exists to promote land conservation in Madison County by educating landowners about conservation easements and by providing funding for landowners who may otherwise not be able to expend the up-front costs of donating a conservation easement.

In the service of this mission, Fund members solicit donations to the Fund balance which is maintained as an account in the Piedmont Foundation, part of the Piedmont Environmental Council. All donations to the Fund are tax deductible and will be used within Madison County.
