Be part of the PEC team. PEC has exciting employment opportunities and offers a fun and challenging work environment, generous benefits, and competitive salary commensurate with experience.

PEC is seeking to hire a field representative to work on land use issues in the central portion of our region, specifically the counties of Orange and Culpeper. Land use issues include the locality's comprehensive plan and ordinances, development proposals, transportation planning and specific projects, local policies and regulations related to rural land preservation and conservation, economic development, natural and historic resource protection, and others as needed.

The Piedmont Environmental Council (PEC) seeks an intern to assist with the field inventory of potential barriers (road stream crossings) to headwater brook trout habitat, along with other project tasks as assigned. PEC is leading an initiative to restore passage and habitat to brook trout and other aquatic organisms, and improve water quality, in headwater streams in four counties that border Shenandoah National Park. An initial survey of stream barriers was completed in 2013-14.

PEC is seeking to hire a Major Gifts Officer as part of a team of staff, board members and volunteers committed to building PEC’s major donors. PEC has an existing base of supporters and is working to reach out to new constituencies in the region. The Major Gifts Officer will have a critical role supporting multiple programs, events, and campaigns.
