From updates on important issues on Facebook and Twitter to photo sharing on Flickr, keep up with PEC through your favorite social networking site.

Volunteers play a vital role in our organization by both building additional capacity to help achieve our mission and by strengthening the connection between PEC and the communities it serves. One of the greatest resources in the Piedmont region is the incredible range of talent and expertise of its citizens, combined by a shared commitment to making our communities better.

PEC would be delighted and grateful to share your photographs or imagery with our audience. Images are needed for both print and electronic publications.

We asked you to pick your favorite photos in four different categories: Local Farms and Food, Native Plants and Wildlife, Beautiful Landscapes and the Youth Category. Congrats to Joyce Harman, Susan Tucker, Jack Hardie and Becca Pizmoht for their respective category wins!

We're excited to announce the opening of PEC's 8th Annual Photo Contest! What makes this contest special is seeing all of the beautiful and interesting photos come from Virginia's Piedmont - the place many of us call home. This year, we are adding a category for "Recreation" submissions. Read below for more contest details, and be sure to enter your photos by September 30, 2017 for a chance to win.

PEC's Natural History Day Camp partners include garden clubs, soil & water conservation districts, and county parks and recreation departments.
